Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring both L&D and mother/baby experience, with a NC or compact license and night shift availability.

Responsibilities

• Work on a specialized Labor and Delivery unit with 16 LDRP rooms
• Includes a C-section suite, PACU on the unit, and a 4-bed Special Care Nursery
• No floating outside of the Family Center unit required
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Work in a collaborative environment supported by preadmit nurses, discharge planners, maternity navigators, unit educators, and lactation consultants
• Be part of a team dedicated to process improvement and implementation of best practices, including state-wide projects and innovative newborn care programs
• Engage in ongoing initiatives such as Safe Sleep Calculator tool development, mental health expansion, and Narcan education
• Two professional references are required for consideration

Requirements

• Active NC or compact state RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications needed
• Experience in both labor & delivery and mother/baby care is required
