Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of diagnostic radiology experience and ARRT, CT, and AHA BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Position based in a diagnostic radiology department
• Performs general diagnostic X-ray procedures on various patient populations
• Day shift, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Uses EPIC EMR for charting and documentation
• Requires use of personal radiation monitoring badge (dosimeter) throughout the assignment
• Perform and coordinate diagnostic X-ray procedures according to physician orders
• Operate and maintain X-ray and related imaging equipment
• Educate, position, and immobilize patients for quality imaging
• Evaluate image quality and ensure timely submission for radiologist interpretation
• Practice proper sterile technique and follow infection control protocols
• Administer contrast per protocol and adhere to ALARA safety measures
• Supervise and evaluate student radiographers as needed
• Prior permanent staff must have a minimum 1-year separation from any Intermountain facility to be eligible
• Allow at least 2 weeks for background and drug screening processes

Requirements

• Active state license required if applicable
• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• CT certification required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in diagnostic radiology
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills required
• Must be able to provide all required licenses and certifications for consideration
