Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position, requiring a minimum of 2 years OB experience and multiple active certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in the OB/GYN unit of a hospital setting
• Varied 12-hour shifts, including both day and night options, with negotiable scheduling
• Every 3rd weekend work required
• No on-call requirements
• Responsible for comprehensive nursing care of patients in Labor & Delivery
• Role includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria
• May assist in training and directing non-RN staff such as LPNs, PCTs, and Unit Secretaries
• Must be flexible with work schedule changes
• No more than 5 days of requested time off allowed
• References are not required if previously employed by Cheshire Medical Center

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of OB nursing experience required
• Must have completed at least one previous travel assignment
• BLS (AHA) certification required (can be pending at submission)
• Active ACLS (AHA) or ALSO certification required
• NRP, STABLE, and Fetal Monitoring certifications required
• Ability to function as 1st assist and scrub in OB procedures highly preferred
