Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position in Vermont requiring a compact or VT RN license and 2+ years of recent ED experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Emergency Department setting
• Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 12-hour shifts
• Serves approximately 14,000 patient visits annually
• No block scheduling allowed
• Weekend and on-call requirements to be determined
• Local travelers residing within 50 miles are not eligible
• Responsible for triaging patients and delivering emergency nursing care
• All requested time off (RTO) must be included at the time of application, with no more than 5 days allowed
• Holiday RTO is not available for this assignment
• First-time travelers are not excluded but travel experience is preferred
• Block scheduling requests will not be considered

Requirements

• Active VT or compact RN license required
• Current ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), and TNCC required at the time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of current ED experience in a hospital setting required
• Minimum 3 months of prior travel experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Must have own vehicle
• Perm address must be included in application profile
• One supervisory signed reference from the past two years required
