Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist experienced with both nuclear medicine and CT procedures, requiring at least 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based position in the Nuclear Medicine department
• Serves adult patient population
• 5x8 hour day shifts starting at 6:30 AM or 7:30 AM
• Rotating call required on weekends and evenings
• Utilizes Phillips and Siemens equipment
• Performs a broad range of procedures including PET scans, gastric emptying, HIDA scans, MUGA scans, three phase bone scans, ventilation/perfusion scans, renal and liver scans, sestamibi parathyroid scans, and stress testing
• Responsible for a comprehensive set of nuclear medicine procedures including stress testing and multi-phase imaging
• Must submit all time off requests up front for approval
• Must have two supervisor-level references from within the past year or from your most recent employer
• Return staff must be gone at least 6 months before being considered again
• Billable training modules required upon hire

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine and CT Technologist, 3 years preferred
• Current CNMT certification required
• State license required; California license in hand before consideration
• Ability to perform adult nuclear medicine and CT procedures
• Experience with handling, storing, and disposing of radioactive materials
• Proficient in venous blood draws, starting and maintaining IVs, and following isolation precautions
• PET/CT experience required
• License required if applicable
