Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist with at least 2 years of MRI experience and proficiency operating a GE Artist 1.5T scanner.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in a short-term acute care, Level IV trauma center
• Work in the MRI department with a patient ratio of 1:1
• Patient population includes acute care and trauma cases
• No floating between units required for this assignment
• Day shifts are available, typically 3x12 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Weekend shifts may be required, with flexibility for days to change during placement
• No on-call responsibility
• Epic EMR system is used and experience is required
• GE Artist 1.5T scanner is utilized for imaging
• Responsibilities include performing high-quality MRI scans and preparing patients for imaging procedures
• Scrub color is any color or business casual
• Minimal to no requested time off (RTO) will be approved; excessive RTO may affect consideration
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot live within 50 miles of the facility
• All travelers may be expected to float between facilities within the state if required
• Free parking on site
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience as an MRI Technologist
• Ability to operate a GE Artist 1.5T MRI scanner
• Current MRI certification and BLS required
• Experience working in acute care, trauma-level imaging settings preferred
• Epic EMR documentation experience is required
• Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable setting
• SSN, DOB, and applicable documents such as Driver's License and COVID/Flu documentation may be required
• License required if applicable
