Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Room assignment requiring oncology and ER expertise, including 2 years of ER experience and Epic proficiency.

Responsibilities

Work in a hospital emergency department and Oncology Immediate Care Center (ICC)
Patient population includes hematology, oncology, and sickle cell with urgent and non-urgent needs
Diagnoses include sickle cell crisis, fever, abdominal pain, uncontrolled pain, anemia, and nausea, vomiting, dehydration
Nurses may float between ED and ICC units as needed
Night shifts: 3x12 hours, 7:00pm - 7:30am
Uses the Epic EMR system and experience is required
ICC unit provides a supportive, team-oriented environment and opportunities to develop specialized oncology care skills
Most ICC patients are discharged home, with some admitted for further care
Float requirement between ICC and ED units
First time travelers will be considered

Requirements

Active OH or Compact RN license
Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience required
Experience with Epic EMR required
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
