Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to perform advanced cardiac ultrasound procedures with RDCS certification and current BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Position located in an Echocardiology department
• Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Duties include scanning patients in all cardiac modalities: M-Mode, 2-D, color, Doppler, exercise testing, and TEE
• Adult patient population
• EPIC charting system is used; experience is preferred
• Responsibilities include operating ultrasound equipment and performing comprehensive cardiac scans including exercise and TEE studies
• Reports to the Supervisor Cardiac Sonographer and follows established policies and procedures
• Candidates must provide proof of MA licensure at time of consideration
• Parking costs may apply at certain locations
• Timekeeping is managed through UKG/Kronos

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in radiology or equivalent certification required
• RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) required
• Current AHA or Red Cross BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification from AHA or Red Cross preferred
• One to three years of experience as an ultrasound technician preferred
• Primary source verification of professional license required; Massachusetts licenses may not be conditional
• Flu vaccine required with no medical or religious exemptions allowed
• License required if applicable
• Local candidates must live at least 60 miles from Boston for standard travel rate eligibility
