Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med Surg/Telemetry night position in Michigan, requiring strong telemetry and PCU float skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital setting on Med Surg, Telemetry, and PCU units
• Night shift position, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating between Med Surg, Telemetry, and PCU is required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementing and documenting care, and revising care plans as needed
• Must demonstrate a strong focus on patient and family education throughout the care process
• Works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes
• Expected to participate in unit meetings and continuing education to maintain professional competency
• No more than 5 days of requested time off will be considered

Requirements

• Active Michigan RN license is required
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience required
• Experience floating to PCU is required
• Proficient in telemetry and able to read and interpret heart rhythms
• American Heart Association ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Must pass a dysrhythmia test prior to working on the unit
• COVID vaccination required, with exemptions allowed
