Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring active IL and IA RN licenses and EPIC experience.

Responsibilities

• Work on a Med Surg/Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 12 hours per shift, 36 hours per week
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call requirements
• May be asked to take charge and/or precept new hires
• May float within the same discipline across local campuses
• Uses Epic EMR, Epic experience required
• Oncology patient experience required
• Contribute professional and clinical skills as part of an interdisciplinary team
• May be required to work two out of three major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's)
• Limit of one day off request allowed between 11/26-11/30 and 12/23-1/2
• 16 hours of orientation provided
• Returning employees who have worked at the facility in the previous 12 months may not be eligible

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at time of consideration
• Active IA RN license required or proof of application for IA single state or compact RN license
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Previous experience in Med Surg, Telemetry or Stepdown required
• Some oncology experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Candidates must have a taxable address at least 50 miles from facility; local travelers are not accepted
