Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry unit in Ohio, requiring advanced cardiac care skills and night shift availability.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital-based Telemetry unit
• Night shifts from 7:30 PM to 7:30 AM with 12-hour shifts
• Work schedule includes every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Must float to all units within skill set
• Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for telemetry patients
• Role involves teaching and supporting non-RN staff such as LPNs, PCTs, and Unit Secretaries
• Must be able to assist with chest tube and pericardial pacing wire removal
• No more than 5 days of requested time off allowed

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of telemetry nursing experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
• Must have experience with chest tube and drain management
• Post-operative open heart care experience required
• Experience providing pre- and post-procedure care for patients with radial and femoral access required
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation required
• Experience with high-flow oxygen, NIV devices, and temporary pacers required
• Critical care experience highly preferred
