Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med-Surg position on the night shift, requiring an active NY RN license, recent EPIC EMR experience, and 2 years of recent Med-Surg experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital setting on the Medicine E4 Medical-Surgical unit
• Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
• Patient care using the Epic EMR system
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• Competency testing for Med-Surg must be passed within two attempts if candidate has less than 2 years of experience
• RTO must be requested at the time of consideration
• More than three call outs in a 13-week period will result in contract termination, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks
• Travel pairs are not permitted
• Candidates may only be considered for one position at a time with this employer

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at the time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med-Surg nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification from AHA or RQI required
• Epic EMR experience required for all candidates
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required
• Flu vaccination required unless medical exemption is provided by a licensed professional
• Applicants must not reside within a 50-mile radius in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties
