Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position with night shifts and a current KS or compact RN license required.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Labor and Delivery unit within a critical access hospital setting
• Shift consists of three 12-hour nights, 19:00-07:00
• Every third weekend is required
• Block scheduling may be available upon manager approval
• Experience with Centricity EMR is preferred
• Must be able to work independently after orientation on the second shift
• Locals are accepted at the same rate with no radius restriction
• Must provide two professional references for consideration
• Block scheduling is considered on a case-by-case basis
• Night shift position with every third weekend required

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NRP required
• Minimum of 2 years RN experience in Labor & Delivery required
• Prior travel nursing experience required; first time travelers not considered
• Experience assisting with sterile and vaginal exams, NST, reflex checks, and EFM
• Skilled in the use of external fetal monitoring, IVs, and medication administration
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Ability to manage high-risk deliveries, forceps/vacuum deliveries, C-sections, neonatal and newborn care, pain management, postpartum care, and surgical cases such as cervical cerclage
