Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Resource Nurse for a night shift float position covering telemetry, med/surg, and joint replacement units requiring an active MA RN license and AHA BLS/ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Work as a float RN across Medical/Surgical Units, Telemetry, and Joint Replacement Center
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Float as needed to various departments including possible support roles in ED, psychiatric, CCU, and Childbirth Center, but will not receive full assignments outside med/surg or tele units
• 13-week contract assignment
• Uses the Epic EMR system
• Administration requires proof of influenza vaccination with no exemptions permitted
• Scrub requirements not specified
• Local candidates must have permanent residence at least 60 miles from Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston due to rate adjustment
• Parking may be limited and may incur daily costs
• Teamwork and flexibility are essential due to floating responsibilities across units
• Timekeeping is tracked via UKG/Kronos system
• Flu vaccination is required during flu season

Requirements

• Active MA RN license is required; pending or conditional licenses are not accepted
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS and ACLS certifications are required
• Must be able and willing to work in all departments as directed within the float pool
