Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with high-risk Labor & Delivery experience and prior travel experience for a night shift position requiring a NJ or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Labor & Delivery unit of a large hospital
• Patient population includes high-risk pregnancies
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, three shifts per week
• Assignment duration is 13 weeks
• EPIC is used for charting
• Travelers may float to a nearby sister hospital if needed
• Duties include comprehensive assessments, direct patient care, documentation, patient education, and use of emergency equipment
• Must deliver safe, competent, and individualized nursing care for high-risk labor and delivery cases
• Responsible for following National Patient Safety Goals and Universal Protocols
• Maintain professionalism, patient confidentiality, and positive communication with patients and families
• Holiday coverage may be required depending on unit needs
• Scrub or dress code requirements will follow hospital standards

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license is required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required
• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred
• Previous travel RN experience in high-risk Labor & Delivery within large hospital settings is required
• At least 50 miles residential distance from the facility; local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible
• Experience with EPIC EMR is preferred
