Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool night position requiring an active NY RN license and Epic EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Med/Surg Float Pool within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• Role involves floating across multiple Med/Surg units as determined by central staffing
• Care for varied adult medical-surgical patient populations
• Epic EMR is used and prior experience with Epic is required
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• Competency testing is required for all applicants, with up to two attempts to pass
• Call outs exceeding three in a 13-week period may result in termination, with makeup shifts required within six weeks
• No local candidates allowed from specified counties within a 50-mile radius
• Travel pairs are not allowed
• Time off (RTO) requests must be submitted at the time of application

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years recent Med/Surg RN experience required
• Certifications must be from AHA or RQI
• Proven experience with Epic EMR
• No work history gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• U.S. Social Security Number required; Canadian SIN not accepted
• Medical flu vaccination exemption allowed only when signed by a licensed professional
