Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring a LA or compact license and EPIC experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in the PACU unit of a hospital setting
- Patient ratio is 1:2
- Uses EPIC for electronic medical records
- Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week, 18:30 to 07:00
- Call is required for 2 to 3 shifts per 4-week schedule
- Works 2-4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
- Must limit requested time off to a maximum of 5 days
- Limited time off is strongly discouraged between 2/13 and 2/22 due to Mardi Gras coverage needs
- Navy blue scrubs are required for all shifts
- Holiday and call coverage required as scheduled
Requirements
- Active LA or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years of PACU experience required
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Trauma Level 1 experience preferred
- Preferred certifications include CCRN, NIHSS, and PALS
- No first-time travelers will be considered
- Former permanent employees must be gone at least 1 year from any LCMC facility to be considered
- Complies with a 75-mile radius rule for candidate eligibility
