Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical ICU night shift assignment requiring a MO or compact RN license and strong ICU background.
Responsibilities
- Position is in the Medical ICU (MICU) of a hospital
- Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Patient ratio of 1:2 in the MICU
- Floating required within the Adult ICU cluster and occasionally to Med Surg units with a 1:4 ratio
- Requires working every other weekend and 50% of holidays
- Cerner EMR is used; prior experience is preferred but not required
- Will accept first-time travelers with solid ICU experience in sizable or academic settings
- All requested time off must be included at time of consideration
- Local candidates are eligible at a reduced rate
- 75-mile radius rule for local status
Requirements
- Active MO or compact RN license must be in hand at time of consideration
- BLS and ABLS certifications required
- Minimum of 2 years total RN experience and at least 1 year of ICU experience
- Experience in a large facility or academic center required
- Two professional references required
