Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for night shifts, requiring an active TN or compact RN license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a hospital
• Night shifts (3x12 or 4x12 hours), 18:30–07:00
• Rotating weekends and holidays required
• Floating to other units required based on staffing needs
• RNs are expected to participate in the support and clinical education of nursing students
• General orientation begins on Sundays and includes 16 hours of nonbillable orientation activities
• Holiday and weekend rotations are mandatory
• No local candidates accepted

Requirements

• Active RN license for TN or a Compact state required at the time of consideration
• AHA BLS certification required
• AHA ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Permanent residence must be at least 100 miles from the facility
