Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night Med/Surg position requiring a UT or compact RN license and BLS/NRP certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in a medical-surgical department at a rural hospital setting
• Adult and mother/baby med-surg patient populations including post-partum neonates to geriatrics
• Assignment includes 7 days on and 7 days off, night shifts from 6PM to 6AM
• Level 4 trauma center environment
• Opportunities available to cross-train in Emergency Department and PACU
• Responsibilities include caring for patients with varying acuities and age ranges, including medical, surgical, skilled, rehabilitative, and pediatric care
• Opportunities exist for professional growth, including cross-training and expanding skill sets
• A supportive, collaborative team environment with strong focus on work-life balance
• Blue scrubs are preferred for this position
• Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day
• Pre-employment drug test and background check required
• Local candidates are accepted for this role

Requirements

• Active Utah or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of medical-surgical RN experience required
• Current BLS/BCLS and NRP certifications required
• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Must be willing to obtain ACLS and PALS within one year if not already held
• Ability to provide patient care appropriate to certification
• Knowledge of infection control and patient safety techniques
