Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to work independently with pediatric and adult patients in a high-acuity setting, requiring BLS and ARDMS-AB certification.

Responsibilities

• Work independently in an ultrasound department serving pediatric and adult patients, often with high acuity
• Caseload averages 1-2 patients per hour
• Involves ED and STAT inpatient cases
• 12-hour night shifts with a 2-week scheduling cycle
• No on-call, call back, or holiday coverage required
• No weekend rotation unless needed
• No required floating but may occasionally include inpatient, outpatient, ED, or pediatric settings depending on shift
• Uses Epic EMR and GE Logiq 10 equipment
• Radiologists are available on site for support
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Initial orientation includes New Employee Orientation and 2 days of departmental training
• Scrub color requirement is black
• Free parking is provided for staff
• Time off requests require approval by the Resource Team

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years recent experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
• Current BLS and ARDMS-AB certifications required
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Ability to push and pull as part of physical demands
• License required if applicable
