Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position with strong surgical experience and call requirements.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in the main Operating Room of a hospital
• Works with surgical cases including robotics XI, orthopedic, spine/neuro, general/gyn, ENT, ophthalmology, pain management, urology, vascular, and trauma cases (Level 2)
• Day shift schedule: four 10-hour shifts from Monday to Thursday, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Call required: one weekday and one weekend per month
• Cerner charting experience is preferred
• 3 to 4 days of orientation provided
• Role requires skilled perioperative nursing for a wide variety of surgical specialties including trauma
• Assignments involve teamwork with other surgical and perioperative staff
• Not accepting local candidates within 50 miles
• All required credentials and documents must be submitted prior to start
• Scrub color or dress code not specified

Requirements

• Active TX or Compact RN license required
• Current ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications required
• Strongly prefer 2-3 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience required
• Experience with robotic XI, ortho, spine/neuro, general/gyn, and trauma cases required
• Must submit 2 supervisory references from the last 3 years of employment
• Applicants must live more than 50 miles from the facility
• Certifications must be provided for consideration
