Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Sonographer for a 13-week assignment skilled in general, OB/GYN, and vascular ultrasound procedures with active MA licensure required.
Responsibilities
- Work in an ultrasonography unit providing imaging for abdominal, OB/GYN, small parts, abdominal vascular, DVT and follicular studies
- NICU and OR experience are considered a plus
- Utilizes GE Logiq E10, E9, and GE Voluson ultrasound equipment
- Uses Epic EMR for documentation
- Schedule includes Sunday 12:30 PM-11:00 PM and Monday-Wednesday 9:30 AM-8:00 PM
- Responsibilities include performing routine and specialized ultrasound exams across various patient populations
- Must be comfortable working in a hospital environment with occasional support in NICU and OR
- Local candidates must live more than 60 miles from Massachusetts General Hospital to receive the standard travel rate
- No validated parking is provided; public parking and transportation options are available with daily parking costs
- Scrub requirements not specified
- Timekeeping is managed via UKG/Kronos system
- References are required for job consideration
Requirements
- Active MA Sonographer license required; conditional licenses are not accepted (license required if applicable)
- Current BLS certification from AHA required
- No minimum years of experience specified
- Experience with Epic charting preferred
- Flu vaccination is required with no exemptions allowed
