Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring night shifts and strong EKG interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 19:00 to 07:30
• Patient population includes post-surgical cases from large orthopedic, colorectal, vascular, and bariatric procedures
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Floating within skillset required
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Must have been separated from prior employment with the facility for at least 1 year to be eligible as a traveler
• Modules and orientation completed pre-start as indicated by specialty
• Up to 7 days of requested time off may be approved per 13-week contract and none allowed during the first two weeks
• Local candidates within 60 miles are accepted at a lower rate
• Team supports a variety of surgical specialties through collaborative care

Requirements

• Active MD or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with at least 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Two supervisor references required
