Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Orthopedics and General Surgery position in Virginia requiring a compact or VA RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital setting on the 5F Orthopedics and General Surgery unit
- Patient population includes orthopedic and general surgery cases on a med/surg floor
- 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- 13-week contract assignment
- Care includes monitoring post-op orthopedic and general surgery patients and assisting with recovery
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Holiday coverage may be required as scheduled
Requirements
- Active VA or compact RN license required
- Minimum 1 year of recent med/surg nursing experience in the specialty
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) BLS certification required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the last 12 months
- U.S. Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
