Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, BLS, ACLS, ARRT certification, and Epic charting skills.
Responsibilities
- Work in a cardiac cath lab at a Level I trauma, Magnet, teaching hospital
- Primary responsibilities include fluoroscopy operation, with cross-training in EP procedures and support for structural heart procedures (TAVR, TMVR) in a hybrid OR setting
- Adult patient population with a focus on cardiac interventions
- 4x10 hour shifts, variable days with weekday and weekend on-call rotations
- On-call typically one night per week and one full weekend per month
- Floating within the main hospital and affiliate campus (Southwest Waterfront) is required
- Epic EMR is used and Epic experience is required
- Duties include intraprocedural technical functions, patient care activities, procedure monitoring, scrubbing, and supply/equipment management
- Cath Lab technologists may support both cath and electrophysiology cases as needed
- Scrubs are provided with no print patterns allowed
- RTO of up to 1 week allowed; all RTO must be submitted up front
- Return staff must have a 6-month gap before returning as a traveler
- Locals are accepted at the same pay rate
- Parking is available for a daily fee
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year recent experience as a Cath Lab Technologist
- Current BLS, ACLS, and ARRT certification are required
- Active OR state license or pending application with licensing board is accepted; license required if applicable
- Epic charting experience is required
- Two manager or supervisor references from the last 24 months needed for consideration (with specific allowances if not available)
- COVID vaccination proof is required with no exemptions
- First-time travelers will be considered
