Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring a TX or compact RN license and critical care experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital
• Day shifts: 3x12 hours, 7:00 to 19:00
• Critical care patient population with a range of complex medical needs
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• The RN will deliver patient care using the nursing process, communication, and time management skills
• The role involves coordinating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care
• High standards for customer service with patients, families, and coworkers are expected
• No travel pairs or groups will be accepted
• No more than 3 days of requested time off will be approved, and no time off is allowed during the first week of orientation

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA required
• At least one year of recent critical care experience in a similar healthcare setting required
• Two years of experience in a Level I Trauma setting preferred
• Must have a 2-year degree; 4-year degree preferred
• Proficiency in English required
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility and not reside in the specified surrounding counties
• Former permanent staff must be separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
