Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) night shift position requiring cardiovascular experience and a NM or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a hospital specializing in cardiovascular care
• Patient ratio is 1:4
• Unit has 55 beds and cares for cardiovascular patient population
• Night shifts available (4x12 hours: 18:30-07:00)
• Schedule will include weekends as needed
• Floats to other units required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses the Epic EMR system; Epic experience preferred
• Option for 36 or 48 hour work weeks
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Block scheduling may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• Former permanent staff must be gone at least one year before returning as a traveler
• Not accepting local travelers residing within 50 miles
• No more than three days of requested time off will be approved; no time off permitted during the first week of orientation
• Scrub color is any solid color except those with logos

Requirements

• Active NM or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CPI certification preferred
• 1-2 years of relevant PCU or cardiovascular nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred
