Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN with at least one year of experience and a GA or compact RN license to work day shifts and provide care for general medical-surgical and peritoneal dialysis patients.

Responsibilities

• Work in the medical-surgical unit of a hospital setting
• Patient population includes general medical-surgical and peritoneal dialysis cases
• Three 12-hour day shifts per week, 7:00 to 19:00
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required within the facility and scope of practice as needed
• Unit accepts first-time travelers
• Block scheduling is not permitted
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off, except no time off allowed in the first week of the assignment
• Travel pairs are not permitted to be assigned the same shift on the same unit
• Must be able to work major holidays according to the hospital's guidelines
• Full compliance must be completed before starting to avoid orientation delays
• Locals are accepted at the same rate

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• Current BLS certification required
• Two supervisory references required for consideration
• Applicants must be away from all Piedmont facilities for at least one year to return as a traveler
