Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position, requiring a TN or compact RN license and rotating weekend and holiday shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work in the PCU of a hospital setting
• Rotating weekend and rotating holiday shifts required
• Night shifts of 3x12 or 4x12 hours (18:30-07:00)
• Self-scheduling is available
• No call responsibilities required
• General orientation begins on Sunday each week, including online CBLs
• RNs are expected to support nursing student education in addition to clinical care responsibilities
• Nonbillable orientation consists of 16 hours
• Holiday coverage is required as part of the rotating schedule

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required at the time of consideration
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience required
• Current AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Charge experience preferred but not required
• Candidate must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
• First-time travelers are accepted
