Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift ICU position in Texas, requiring a TX or compact license and at least two years of ICU experience.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient hospital ICU setting with some coverage of intermediate care patients
• Night shift schedule, 7p - 7a, with weekend and floating requirements
• On-call responsibilities are possible
• ICU patient ratio is 2:1; intermediate care patient ratio is 3:1
• May require experience with Epic EMR
• Candidates must wear navy scrubs
• May float to other units as needed during assignment
• Role includes both direct patient care and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Previous perm employees of the associated health system require eligibility verification
• First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications needed
• Minimum of 2 years ICU nursing experience required
• Flu vaccination is mandatory with no exemptions during flu season (August–November)
• Must provide two professional references for consideration
• No local travelers accepted; must live at least 50 miles from the facility
