Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN with telemetry and Epic experience for a night shift position on a vascular telemetry unit in New York, requiring an active NY RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work on the Vascular C5 telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• 12-hour night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Care for patients with vascular and telemetry needs
• Use Epic EMR system; Epic experience is required
• No block scheduling allowed
• Travelers may not float as pairs
• Competency testing is required with up to two attempts permitted
• More than three call outs in a 13-week contract may result in termination, and make-up shifts must be completed within six weeks
• All requested RTO must be submitted with your application
• Travelers may only be considered for one position at a time
• Travel pairs are not permitted

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at the time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent specialty experience in telemetry
• Current BLS certification from AHA or RQI required
• Epic EMR experience is mandatory
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the last 12 months
• U.S. Social Security Number required for consideration
• Medical exemption for flu vaccine must be signed by a licensed professional; personal or religious exemptions are not accepted
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of specified counties including Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington
