Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with at least 18 months of recent OR experience and an active OH or compact RN license for a day shift position.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Operating Room of a hospital setting
• Responsibilities include both circulating and scrubbing cases, including robotic, GU, GYN, and general surgeries
• Shift is four 10-hour days from 7:00 to 17:30
• Call is required on nights and weekends
• Responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing for a variety of surgical procedures with accurate counts and specimen management
• Team player mentality is important for this role
• Applicants will complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation and must pass both within two attempts
• Scrub attire dress code is required in the OR
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Permanent and per diem staff may not return to the facility for at least 1 year from their previous employment end date
• Candidates must complete BCI/FBI fingerprinting within 48 hours of signing the contract
• Candidates are exempt from nicotine-free requirements (temporary facility policy)
• Candidates must pick up their badge and complete onsite fingerprinting at the facility prior to the start date

Requirements

• Active Ohio or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• AHA BLS certification required and must be current
• Minimum of 18 months permanent Operating Room experience prior to travel required
• Must have recent experience with scrubbing and circulating in the OR
• One recent reference from a supervisor, manager, ANM, or director in operating room nursing required for consideration
• Candidates with any open background check cases or license hits will not be considered
