Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer with at least 2 years of experience and current ARDMS (PE) or CCI (RCCS) certification.
Responsibilities
- Work in pediatric echocardiography across both hospital and outpatient clinic settings
- Daily caseload per tech ranges from 4 to 10 cases
- Primarily pediatric patient population with complex congenital heart disease
- Work Monday through Friday with staggered start times between 6:30 AM and 8:00 AM, 8-hour shifts
- No weekends or holidays required
- Floating required between hospital and North Charleston clinic
- Uses GE Vivid 95 and PACS systems
- Epic EMR is used
- Responsibilities focus on performing and reporting pediatric echocardiograms, assisting with diagnosis of congenital heart disease
- Open to first-time travelers
- All modules and training are completed pre-start and average 4 hours
- Must be willing to be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season
- All requested RTO must be declared prior to offer and is subject to facility approval
- Returning staff must have a separation of at least one year before being eligible for a travel position
- Local candidates may be considered at a local rate if they live within a 60-mile radius
- No radiation badge required
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of pediatric echocardiography experience required
- Registered Pediatric Sonographer (ARDMS with PE certification or CCI with RCCS certification) required and must be in hand at start
- Must be proficient in complex congenital heart defects and pediatric eco scans
- BLS (AHA) certification required
- Experience with GE Vivid 95 and PACS preferred
- Must be proficient in entering full reports and have extensive knowledge of complex heart disease
- Highly recommend an MD reference
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- SSN and driver's license required for consideration
- License required if applicable
