Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a skilled RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a TX or compact license and relevant certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of a hospital setting
• Cares for laboring mothers, postpartum cases, and assists with vaginal births
• Day shift schedule from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM with 12-hour shifts
• Patients may include those with COVID-19
• Uses EPIC charting system with prior experience preferred
• Scrubs required in navy or royal blue
• Postpartum and vaginal examination experience is a plus
• Team may care for patients with infectious conditions including COVID-19
• Flu vaccination may be required
• Orientation and onboarding requirements include proof of certifications and possible health screenings

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross
• NRP certification required (AHA, Red Cross, or NALS accepted)
• AWHONN Basic or Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year experience in Labor & Delivery nursing
• BSN degree preferred
