Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a TX or compact RN license, NRP certification, and night shift availability.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital
• Care for laboring and postpartum mothers and newborns, including Covid patients
• Night shifts from 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m. with a 13-week contract
• Uses EPIC charting system
• Navy or royal blue scrubs required
• Responsibilities include monitoring mothers and infants, assisting with deliveries, and performing fetal monitoring
• Care for patients with active Covid-19 as needed
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Local candidates are considered at the same rate as travelers

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license
• Minimum of 1 year recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
• BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross required
• NRP certification required (NALS accepted)
• AWHONN or basic/intermediate fetal monitoring certification preferred
• BSN degree preferred
• Experience with postpartum care and vaginal examinations is a plus
