Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift LTAC position requiring vent/trach and central line experience in a long-term acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Work in a long-term acute care (LTAC) hospital on a chronic care unit
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am
• Patient population includes chronic and medically complex cases
• Ventilator and tracheostomy care required
• Experience with central lines preferred
• May require wound care management
• Responsible for shift accountability in patient care utilizing the nursing process and critical thinking
• Delegates and supervises assigned personnel in delivering patient care
• Staff must clock in and out of the electronic timekeeping system
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius will be paid at a reduced rate
• Candidates cannot be currently employed as permanent staff at any location during assignment
• Full US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• RCIS and RQI certifications are not accepted
• No Canadian SINs accepted

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of 2 years recent LTAC or relevant specialty experience required
• Must have vent/trach care experience and knowledge of central line management
• Certifications must not expire within 30 days of assignment start
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
