Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist for a weekday day shift assignment performing general, abdominal, OB/GYN, breast, and vascular ultrasound exams.

Responsibilities

• Work in a diagnostic imaging department with a focus on ultrasound modalities
• Exam types include general, abdominal, OB, GYN, breast, and vascular/arterial studies
• Day shifts Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 or 5:00 pm
• No call, weekend, or holiday shifts required
• Position is for a 13-week contract
• Responsible for organizing daily work schedules and performing related clerical duties
• Expected to communicate diagnostic findings to referring physicians and radiologists
• Responsible for the safety and well-being of all patients in the imaging department
• May be required to troubleshoot ultrasound equipment and coordinate repairs with service engineers
• Willingness to cross-train into other imaging modalities is desired
• Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and the healthcare team
• First-time travelers will be considered

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
• Current ARRT or ARDMS certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Active state license required if applicable
• Must be in compliance with continuing medical education (CME)
• Ability to work independently and perform a broad spectrum of ultrasound exams
