Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuroscience Progressive Care Unit (PCU) night shift position requiring a VA or compact RN license and at least two years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Neuroscience Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts, 19:00-07:00
• Patient population primarily involves neurological conditions
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• Locals are accepted at the same rate
• This is a smoke-free workplace; smoking is not allowed on campus
• Natural nail policy is enforced—no artificial nails or nail polish allowed
• Holiday coverage may be required; time-off requests must be submitted with application
• All candidates must submit to fingerprinting as per Virginia state code and may not start until results are cleared
• Documented references and completed skills checklist are required for consideration

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required
• Minimum of two years' RN experience in a relevant setting
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program (Diploma, Associate, or BSN accepted)
• Must not have been employed by the health system within the previous twelve months
• Candidates must comply with a drug and tobacco-free workplace policy
