Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a current CA license, requiring open heart and cardiovascular experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital ICU with a census of 24 and 28 beds
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30)
• Every other weekend coverage required
• No call requirement
• Self-scheduling offered
• Royal blue scrubs are required
• Care for critically ill adults and geriatric patients including those requiring cardiovascular and open heart interventions
• Self-scheduling allows flexibility in work shifts
• No RTO allowed during the first two weeks of the assignment
• RTO must be confirmed and submitted at application; changes are only allowed to cancel previously requested time off
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Requirements

• Active CA RN license is required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience
• Experience with cardiovascular cases, open heart procedures, and balloon pump required
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIH
• In-person VIP, MAB, or CPI certification required
• Skills required: dysrhythmia interpretation, IV insulin protocols, arterial and central line management, PICC line management, blood product administration, starting IVs, ventilated patient care, ABG interpretation, and suctioning
