Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring strong CRRT and IABP experience with a KY or compact license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital ICU setting
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00-07:00)
• Patient assignments range from 1:1 to 1:2+ nurse-to-patient ratios
• Care includes management of vented patients, IV drips, central lines, and IV vasopressors
• Requires interpretation of ABGs, dysrhythmias, and management of multisystem organ dysfunction or failure
• Continuous IV sedation, airway management, and isolation precautions are part of daily care
• Uses computerized documentation
• Provide advanced critical care to ICU patients with complex medical needs
• Work involves titration of IV vasopressors and continuous IV sedation
• Team environment supports management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure
• Isolation precautions required as part of infection control procedures

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH certification required
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent ICU experience required
• Strong experience with CRRT and IABP required
• Proficient in management of vented patients, IV drips, central lines, and dysrhythmia interpretation
