Job Description
American Traveler seeks an experienced RN for a Neuro Med/Surg night shift position requiring BLS and NIHSS certifications and a minimum of one year recent experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital-based Medical Surgical - Neuro unit
- Treats stroke, AMS, and standard medical patients
- Night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30 (3x12 hours)
- Required to work every other weekend
- No call responsibilities
- Floating to other units may be required
- Staff-to-patient ratio is 1:5 to 1:6
- Uses Cerner charting system
- Two additional 'level-loading' shifts required per 6-week schedule period, with flexibility to choose weeks
- Provide nursing care to patients with neurological and medical conditions, including stroke and altered mental status
- One holiday shift per contract required
- Royal blue scrubs required
- Local candidates are not accepted
Requirements
- Active IN or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum one year of Med/Surg or Neuro RN experience required
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility
- First-time travelers are accepted
