Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Telemetry position on an adult Cardio Pulmonary and Neuro overflow unit, requiring BLS and an OK or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care 28-bed Medical Telemetry unit
• Serves adult Cardio Pulmonary patients and Neuro overflow cases
• Nurse to patient ratio is typically 1:5-6
• Unit is equipped with cardiac telemetry and continuous pulse oximetry
• Night shift position with hours from 18:30 to 07:00
• Unit support includes PCTs, a healthcare coordinator, monitor techs, and virtual sitter monitoring
• Responsibilities include direct patient care, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, carrying out physician and nursing orders, and discharge planning
• Must have strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment
• Standard Precautions and personal protective equipment must be followed
• Local candidates are accepted but may be subject to a reduced rate depending on facility radius rules
• Covid vaccination is no longer required for this position
• Role is auto offer with no interview required

Requirements

• Active Oklahoma or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 1 year of telemetry nursing experience
• AHA BLS certification required
• Nursys verification and current license required prior to start
• US Social Security Number and US home address required for consideration
• NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
