Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring a GA or compact RN license and at least two years of recent Med/Surg experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based Medical/Surgical unit (10A)
• Night shift with 12-hour shifts, three shifts per week
• Typical patient population includes oncology, step down, and patients with heavy sickle cell diagnoses
• Chemo certification is preferred but not required
• No on-call responsibilities
• RTO (requested time off) is not permitted for this assignment
• Must provide a skills checklist relevant to the Med/Surg specialty
• Must be able to care for oncology, step down, and complex sickle cell patients
• Profile must include demographic information and a badge-appropriate photograph

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience in medical/surgical nursing
• Current certification card and Nursys license verification needed
• Up-to-date resume including detailed work history with no gaps over 60 days
• Two supervisory references from within the last 2 years are required
