Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery and Med Surg position with independent OB patient management and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital setting covering both Labor & Delivery and Medical Surgical units
• Approximately 20% OB and 80% Med Surg patient population
• Nurse is responsible for full management of Labor & Delivery patients, including OB surgeries
• Night shift position with 12-hour shifts (19:00 to 7:00), working three shifts per week
• No on-call responsibilities
• Travelers may be floated to different units as needed
• Nurse will act as the primary provider for Labor & Delivery cases, with assistance at time of delivery from non-OB trained nurses
• Majority of time will be spent in the Med Surg unit with periodic OB responsibilities
• Modules are completed during orientation and annually via recorded transcripts
• Locals are accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
• Travel pairs are accepted

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
• Must be able to independently manage Labor & Delivery patients and perform OB surgeries
• One reference required for consideration
