Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring C-section and trauma case experience, as well as NC or Compact RN licensure.

Responsibilities

• Work in the hospital's Operating Room department
• 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, with one variable day off per week
• Call required one night per week and one weekend during the 13-week contract
• Care includes C-sections and trauma cases, including gunshot wounds
• Floating within the hospital may be required
• EPIC EMR experience is strongly preferred
• Return staff must have at least 1 year separation and remain in good standing
• Locals within 50 miles will be considered at a lower rate
• Blocked scheduling is not permitted
• RTO (time off) requests must be 5 days or fewer
• Copy of Nursys verification pulled within the last 7 days is required
• Dress code and scrub color requirements are not specified

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license required at the time of consideration
• Minimum 3 years Operating Room RN experience required, 4 years preferred
• Prior experience with C-sections and trauma/gunshot wound cases required
• Will not accept first-time travelers
• Two recent professional references from a supervisory capacity required
• COVID-19 vaccination card required, with facility exemption form if requesting exemption
