Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Critical Care RN for the Float Pool, requiring a NY RN license and Epic EMR proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Critical Care Float Pool covering various ICU units
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Shift includes rotating assignments and floating between ICU departments as needed
• Epic EMR is used and experience with Epic is required
• 13 week contract assignment
• Competency testing is required with two attempts allowed to pass
• No local candidates from specified counties within a 50 mile radius are accepted
• More than three call outs during the contract may result in termination and makeup shifts are required within six weeks
• No blocked scheduling is allowed and all requested time off must be submitted with application
• Travel pairs are not allowed for this assignment
• Travelers may only be considered for one position at a time

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at the time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years recent critical care experience required
• Current AHA or RQI BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Epic EMR experience is mandatory
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required for eligibility
• Medical documentation is required for flu vaccination exemptions
