Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Operating Room position in a large level 1 trauma setting, requiring strong vascular/endovascular skills and prior travel experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Operating Room of a large, level 1 trauma hospital
- Night shift, 12 hours per shift, three shifts per week from 6:45pm to 7:15am
- No on-call responsibilities
- Weekend and holiday shifts required
- No block scheduling available
- Responsibilities include providing perioperative care for a range of cases, including complex vascular and endovascular procedures
- Must be able to demonstrate advanced skills and adaptability in a fast-paced trauma operating room environment
- Holiday and weekend coverage is required as dictated by the unit needs
- Candidates must submit a current resume with detailed work history and explained employment gaps
- Skills checklist completion specific to the OR specialty is required for consideration
- First time travelers will not be considered for this position
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license
- Strong experience in vascular and endovascular procedures required
- Minimum prior travel nursing experience in a large level 1 trauma facility required
- High competency ratings required in all areas of skills checklist
- Current, relevant references from supervisors or managers within the last 2 years
