Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift ICU position working with vents, telemetry, and EPIC documentation, requiring a PA or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the ICU of a hospital setting
• Will care for ICU, CCU, IMCU, and may float to Acute Care or Ortho as needed
• Patient ratios vary: CCU 2:1, IMCU 4:1, Acute Care/Ortho 5:1
• Handles vents and telemetry; IV start preferred
• Shifts are night (3x12 hours), 19:00 to 07:00
• Weekend requirement is 2-3 weekends per month, likely every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• EPIC EMR is used and experience is required
• Expected to work 2 of 3 major holidays; no time off permitted between Christmas and New Year's
• May care for COVID-19 patients
• Smokers and users of fragrances are not permitted in the facility
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off allowed during the contract
• Facility will review candidate’s clinical fit and conduct interviews
• Local candidates are accepted with a pay adjustment

Requirements

• Active PA or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must be able to work with ventilators and telemetry monitoring
• Ability to start IVs is preferred
