Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit night shift position in Michigan requiring MI license, BSN, and strong cardiac skills.

Responsibilities

• Position is located on an inpatient Progressive Care Unit floor
• Cares for patients requiring cardiac monitoring, including post-procedural cardiac patients
• Experience with cardiac progressive drips and dressing changes required
• Night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend and some holiday rotation required
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• Floating to a nearby sister hospital may be required
• Online modules must be completed onsite prior to start, typically 1 week before assignment
• Responsibilities include assessment, care planning, supervision, and documentation of patient care
• Must complete and pass required online modules prior to assignment start
• Teamwork and leadership are expected in coordinating patient care
• Must report to lab for drug screening within 24 hours of assignment commitment
• Be aware that background check and drug screening results can take up to 2 weeks to process

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and BSN required
• Minimum 2 years of recent progressive care experience
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong clinical knowledge and analytical skills to formulate care plans
• Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare team
• COVID-19 vaccination is required
